Start with peak use, then describe the layout
A useful quantity request explains who will use the facilities, when use is concentrated and which existing bathrooms remain available. A wedding reception, a shift-based worksite and an open-house gathering are not interchangeable headcounts. Ask the rental contact to review the equipment and service arrangement against your actual activity.
For construction: build a crew brief
List the highest number of workers present together, shift overlap and visiting trades. State whether indoor toilets may be used and whether different work areas need separate access. Give the project duration, washing needs and any expected growth in the crew. The responsible employer should check applicable workplace requirements; this page does not calculate or certify a compliant minimum.
A planning example—not a recommended unit count
If one group works in the morning and another arrives before it leaves, report the overlap as well as the daily total. Also explain whether both groups use the same working area. This gives the rental team more useful information than adding everyone who visits across the entire day.
For events: describe arrivals, breaks and existing facilities
Include the expected busiest attendance, length of stay, staff and vendors. Mention refreshments, simultaneous programme breaks and separated activity areas. Confirm the existing bathrooms that guests are allowed to use for the full period; a building nearby is not necessarily available to your booking.
Bring the time window into the discussion
A rolling afternoon gathering may have fewer people present at once than a seated occasion with the same total attendance. Neither pattern gives a reliable unit count on its own. Review washing, accessible facilities and whether agreed servicing can take place during use.
Send a quantity request you can update
- Peak guests or workforce and the hours they need facilities.
- Actual existing toilet access and any unavailable bathrooms.
- Proposed locations, user routes and servicing access.
- Washing, accessible or upgraded facilities needed.
- Changes expected before or during the rental.
Use the quote form even if the numbers are provisional. Mark estimates clearly in your message and discuss the revised plan if attendance, staffing or layout changes. A submitted enquiry is not a confirmed equipment reservation.
