Position washing where guests will use it
Consider the station alongside toilets, food areas and circulation, with the venue contact reviewing the layout. Explain whether washing supports general guests, vendors or another activity. Those uses may have different requirements; a general portable sink should not be assumed suitable for every food-preparation task.
Keep water and supplies in the service discussion
Ask how the proposed station is supplied, what replenishment is included and whom to call if it needs attention. A long reception or repeated occasion may need a different arrangement from a short gathering. Do not assume that initial supplies settle the needs of the entire booking.
Plan replenishment before the station runs low
Water, soap, drying supplies and wastewater handling belong in the same discussion as the station itself. Tell the rental contact whether washing is needed for a short reception, a multi-day worksite or repeated public sessions. For a food-service activity, have the responsible organiser confirm the required type of washing arrangement rather than assuming a general guest station is suitable.
Assign a practical supply check
- Ask what arrives filled or stocked and what the rental team replenishes.
- Choose someone on site to report depleted supplies or a fault.
- Keep the station reachable for agreed servicing without obstructing the toilet entrance.
Position it in the user journey
Consider the route out of the toilets and back to the work or gathering. Leave room for people to use the station without blocking the restroom entrance or creating a vehicle conflict.
